Terms of Service
Last updated: August 18, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of Locu Vie (the “Service”), operated from Québec, Canada. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is, and is not
Locu Vie is practice-management software for self-employed locum pharmacists in Canada: it tracks your shifts, generates your invoices, records your expenses, and summarizes GST/QST amounts in the places where tax returns expect them.
The Service is a record-keeper, not an advisor. It organizes the figures you enter and shows where they map on a return. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice, and its outputs are not a substitute for professional judgment. You, or your accountant, remain responsible for verifying every figure and for filing your own returns.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- An account is personal to one pharmacist and may not be shared.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to use the Service.
4. Subscription, trial and billing
- New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No payment card is required to start it.
- After the trial, continued full access requires a paid subscription (monthly or annual) at the prices displayed on the billing page at the time you subscribe, plus applicable taxes (GST/QST).
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- If your subscription lapses, you are not locked out of your data: the Service becomes read-only, and viewing and exporting your records remains available.
5. Your data
Everything you enter (pharmacies, shifts, rates, invoices, expenses, receipts) remains yours. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the invoices you send from the Service. You can export all of your data at any time and delete your account, permanently, from the settings page.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only lawfully and for its intended purpose. You may not attempt to access other users’ data, probe or disrupt the Service, resell access to it, or use it to send unlawful or deceptive invoices.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is.” We work to keep it available and to safeguard your data, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and features may evolve. Keep your own copies of critical records; the export function exists for exactly that reason.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including amounts owing on, or penalties related to, your tax returns, which remain your responsibility under section 2.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, with notice when reasonably possible.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, and any dispute belongs to the courts of Québec. Questions? Reach us through the contact page.
